My name is Deorrah Hardy and I am the founder of The Traveler’s Contribution. My goal in creating this organization is to utilize my international resources and academic expertise to facilitate the spirit of giving through a concept called “VolunTourism”.

I am originally from the United States of America, but I currently reside in Montego Bay.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and a Master of Public Administration (Nonprofit Administration). My nonprofit career has consisted of establishing and managing volunteer programs, connecting people with volunteer opportunities, overseeing volunteer recruitment and volunteer training, and community outreach. Most recently, I served in the United States as a Public Affairs Coordinator, responsible for public relations, media outreach, volunteer recruitment, and establishing and leading volunteer programs in the state of Georgia.

The Traveler’s Contribution is my passion project. I love connecting people with opportunities to give and give-back. Since my work experience has included building strategic relationships with organizations and individuals to solicit and leverage in-kind donations, I knew that when I moved to Negril in 2018,  that I could make a difference.  I fell in love with the island of Jamaica, and while establishing myself here, I choose to give back in the best way that I know how - through public service.

In my spare time, I continue to pursue my passion for volunteerism through personal volunteer work, among other pastimes such as painting and conducting Dee's Tropical Paint Parties, seen by clicking this button:
